Blekingska Nation
Blekingska is the music nation of Lund. Every semester we proudly present several live bands and we have had many famous artists and bands on our stage, such as Alphaville, Broder Daniel, The Hives, The Ark, jj, Alice in Videoland and Niki & The Dove. As a member of Blekingska you are always entitled to a lower entrance fee.

Blekingska Nation was founded in 1697 and has since the 1960s been housed in our current buildings at Måsvägen – a mere minute walk away from the student housing area Vildanden. Perfect for the students living at Vildanden, who wants a cold pint Wednesday night or a brunch buffet Saturday noon.

Friday clubs (22-02)
The Cure said it well: ”Friday I’m in Love”. We have two different Friday clubs, all with different and strong music profiles. They are on a rolling schedule with every club appearing every other week – always check the website for more information about witch club is coming up. Music is close to the Blekingska heart and we have always been famous for our live music stage. We frequently host live acts with both established bands and up and coming bands, both Swedish and international bands on chosen Friday clubs.

Indigo
At Indigo, witch we have been hosting since 1994, we bring the best of indie & pop music. Enjoy a great night out at the legendary club that in all effect made indie pop big in southern Sweden!

Heartbeats
Euphoric electro and electronica, fast-paced lightshow with laser and strobes, with a smoke-filled dancefloor can only mean one thing: it's Heartbeats at Blekingska! Every third Friday we bring you the best electro Dj:s Skåne has to offer. Get on your dancing shoes and dance until you drop!

Wednesday Pub (18-01)
A Wednesday at Blekingska is not an ordinary Wednesday. Every Wednesday it is Wednesday Pub! Come and enjoy a pub meal and hang out with some friends. On selected dates we have events at the pub: HOWL! and It’s a quiz about nothing.

HOWL!
This is our Open mic pub. Are you a singer? Play in a band? Rapper? Good at poetry slam? A dancer? The stage is open for anyone who is interested in performing, and if you don’t want to be on stage, you can come and enjoy the entertainment.

It’s a quiz about nothing
As you might have figured out just reading the name, this is Blekingska’s quiz! It is an interactive quiz with questions to suit all. We promise you good music, funny pictures and a good time! Bring a group of friends and compete together at our interactive and popular quiz.

Activities
At Blekingska there is something for everyone! We have cafés, pubs, clubs, sports, radio… you name it! As a volunteer where you can work at any of our activities you will be repaid with thank you parties. And if you work at least twice during the semester you will also be invited to come to the huge thank you party in the end of the semester! Being a part of a student organization will give you experience in many different areas. For example, you can be a headwaiter for a night, bartender, chef, reporter – anything you want to do, but maybe never have tried before. In addition to experience, you also meet a lot of nice people!

Join Blekingska Nation
Step number one: To become a member you first need to register pay at studentlund.se (”become a member of Studentlund”). To register you will need your application code and your Swedish social security number. If you do not have a Swedish social security number (e.g. 850505-0505) you use the Ladok-number that you got from the University. The Ladok-number consist of your birth date and four more digits (e.g. 850505-T505). Your application code is found on your University application, or Letter of Acceptance.

When you have registered and paid the bill, (we would like to encourage you to pay with a VISA-card or a MasterCard, then you can see the transfer immediately, otherwise it may take a few days), you can log on to studentlund.se and print the certificate that says that you have paid. This print is a substitute for your Student ID, and what you need to enter the nations until September 18. It is important that this paper says that you have paid for fall 2011, otherwise you can not get in to the nations.

Step number two is signing up for a nation. Bring your Letter of Acceptance and a valid ID, and go to Blekingska Nation (opening hours: 10–18, Monday to Friday until February 10), where you are welcomed by one of the nation actives. They will help you complete your registering and answer your questions. A few days after the visit to the nation, you receive your member card/Student ID (Studentkortet) in your mailbox. If you are having problems with registering at Studentlund.se, come by the nation and we will help you with the whole procedure of registering!
